For a working operation, uptime is the whole argument. A unit that is built properly and maintained sensibly spends its life earning rather than sitting behind the shop waiting on parts.
Accessories are cheaper specified than retrofitted. Spare carriers, toolboxes, extra tie-downs and upgraded lighting all cost noticeably more once the unit has left the factory.
Allow more distance for stopping and more room for turning than feels necessary at first. The habits form quickly and they are the ones that matter.
Deck material is a genuine decision. Treated timber is cheap, replaceable and kind to cargo; steel and aluminum decking last longer and clean up more easily but cost more to put right after damage.
Between jobs it stores without taking over the yard, and it comes back into service without the long list of repairs that badly built haulers seem to accumulate over a winter.
