Weight distribution is the thing worth getting right. Aim to sit the bulk of the load slightly forward of the axle centerline, secure it before moving off, and the tow becomes uneventful in exactly the way you want it to be.
Open and enclosed haulers get bought for one job and then quietly take on twenty more. The buyers who are happiest a year later are almost always the ones who bought slightly more deck and slightly more rating than the original job strictly required.
